So, I made pies a few weeks ago, for the department picnic and another get-together that happened today. Everyone commented that they had a WHOLE lot of bourbon in them, and I said, yeah, last time, I thought I put too much in, and so I thought I cut it in half... Maybe I need to cut it in half again?

So, I went to the recipee book to make a notation and found out the problem.

The original recipee calls for 1 Tablespoon of vanilla extract. I had altered that to read:

1 Tablespoon of vanilla extract / 1/4 cup bourbon.

Because my handwriting is so bad, I read that as

1 Tablespoon of vanilla extract 1 1/4 cup bourbon.

I think I need to change that to 1/8 cup now that I think of it... but in any case... whooeee bourbony pies.
