Newspapers
Aug. 28th, 2007 01:36 pmHow do you get the newspaper to stop comming when you are on vacation? Usually, you call the newspaper and say "put my newspaper on hold" or something. However, what do you do when you aren't actually supposed to be getting the newspaper?
The Times Union is evidently having some sort of promotion where they are giving me the paper for free for, at this point, at least 2 weeks. On the one hand, this is great, as it gives me plenty of free packing material for when I move. On the other hand, when I go to Boston next week, I'll have 7 newspapers laying on my lawn making it obvious that I'm not there.
Back up plan is to ask a friend to grab them for me, or a neighbor, but it's still annoying.
